1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Briefd ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Briefd is a web-based tool that helps freelancers compose and send weekly status update emails to their clients. The Service includes account management, client management, email composition, and email delivery features.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limitations. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Briefd to send unsolicited emails (spam), harass or harm others, violate any applicable laws or regulations, attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure, or impersonate any person or entity.

5. Free and Pro Plans

The Free plan includes up to 3 clients and 10 total updates. The Pro plan provides unlimited clients and updates for a monthly subscription fee of $12. Plan limits are enforced automatically. We reserve the right to change plan pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

6. Payments and Refunds

Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly. All payments are processed securely. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, contact us within 7 days of your billing date. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Data and Privacy

We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of all content you create using Briefd. We do not sell your data to third parties. Email delivery is handled via Resend, a third-party email service provider.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We are not liable for any losses resulting from Service downtime.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

10. Limitation of Liability

Briefd is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
